Haibara squinted her eyes at the boy. Without the boisterous ring of it, even his voice was identical to Shinichi’s. What are the chances. Scratch being too much to be coincidence, this was too miraculous to be planned by this point. Relatives maybe? With how unreliable Shinichi was keeping track of his own shit, she might as well give Yukiko-san a call about it at a later time.

She was gad she chose this class to approach Kuroba though. She didn’t have to be bothered with monitoring C-ta nor be wary of him picking something up and interfering in case things got…hairy. Which they hopefully wouldn’t. They were in public after all. She didn’t want to scar innocent high schoolers for life.

Either way, he had that look in his face Shinichi donned when he was getting over his head. Haibara could feel herself grow hissy at the sight. “You just thought something unnecessary didn’t you.” She glared at the boy.

“Nevermind.” She waved it of. She didn’t have the patience to drag this out right now. “He’s an obnoxious mystery otaku of a murder magnet with a serious caffeine problem.” She droned out an answer. How would one even go about describing Kudou Shinichi. He was just so ridiculous even without the whole shrinking deal.

“A hopeless fool with love, trigger happy with criminals and looks like he could be your twin brother with a bedhead.” Rest came in a half tires half agitated breath. And no. Don’t get any ideas. She knew how he looked with a bedhead because she was the one monitoring him through dear death throes of transformation most of the time. The whole process was sticky to say the least.

“Heh?” The other was a little surprised by the other’s attitude. Uhm, rude. Kaito wasn’t thinking unnecessary things at all. How dare a girl – this tiny on top of that – speak to him like that? Unless she was the same case as Conan and was actually like 17 or something, but it’s not like Kaito knew about that. Why would he even care?

“That’s…” One cannot describe how a person felt when approached with the description he was given just now. It made it unclear whether Haibara actually liked the young detective she was talking about or not. The description sounded too general to his own ears and Kaito would never imagine it was the famous Shinichi Kudou she was talking about. That’s how little he knew about his eternal nemesis.

“… A crazily detailed description you just gave me, but he doesn’t sound familiar to me. Sorry.”

God, what was up with this strange city and these people? It was peaceful and there were a lot of doves for his own to befriend, but some people – like Haibara – were incredibly weird.

Not to mention, would he meet his fated detective soon? He wasn’t even aware of his presence in Toshi City yet.
